Anonymous usage data

WordRush collects limited, anonymized usage data to improve learning features and support educational research. This may include vocabulary attempts, response timing, and correctness.

If you do not create a WordRush account, no personally identifiable information is collected for research data. WordRush does not collect names, phone numbers, location data, contacts, or advertising identifiers. Usage data is associated only with a randomly generated identifier and analyzed in aggregate.

Your choice

You can disable research data collection at any time by turning off Participate in Research in Settings under Data and Privacy.

Data use

Collected data is used solely to improve the effectiveness of WordRush and to study general patterns in vocabulary learning. Data is never sold and is not used for advertising or marketing purposes.

Optional WordRush accounts

A WordRush account is optional. You can use the app without creating an account.

If you choose to create an account, WordRush uses your email address only to send sign-in codes and identify your account. Supported study progress, settings, XP, streaks, favorites, weak words, and mode progress may be synced through WordRush's cloud database so you can restore or continue learning on another device.

WordRush account data is used for app functionality, is not sold, and is not used for advertising or tracking.

Data storage

Anonymized usage data may be transmitted securely and stored for analysis. Your study progress and app settings are stored locally on your device and may be backed up through iCloud or device backups. If you create a WordRush account, supported progress and settings may also be stored in WordRush's cloud database for account sync.

Apple services

WordRush may use Apple services such as iCloud and Game Center when you enable or use those features. iCloud sync stores supported progress data in your Apple iCloud account. Game Center features, such as leaderboards or achievements, are handled through Apple's Game Center service.
